Saint Johns Park Clondalkin
Highlighting issues of antisocial behaviour in a Clondalkin Housing Estate
The people who troubled so many of their neighbours can be found living in their own fantasy dream world of who they think they are, only in the real world, they are not. Teenagers and young adults torment their neighbours on behalf of their parents, yet those they tormented went on to better things in life, away from the yobs on the road. When the lads on Johns Park West were posting their comments of ' degree's in table tennis' or 'the school is a kip' and "the teachers in Moyler are sh**" on Facebook and Bebo or could be seen intoxicated at 15, 16 and 17 years of age on the same websites, those they tormented were determined to secure their future's in a more civilized manner. Just like Susan Boyle.
As the lad posed for the camera in a drunken state, a bottle of beer in his hand, his eyes more to the back of his head than to the front; the parents are clearly seen standing
in the background smiling and enjoying the moment , yet within that picture we see the reason behind the many problems other residents have to endure at the hands of young intoxicated young people.

'You can pat the dog on the back' and 'You can pat the dog the back, and 'You can pat the dog on the back',but you can't.' Can you Imagine a so called educated young adult make this type of remark to a six year old child, as he stood with other young children outside the home of the young adult. The child just wanted to pat the labrador dog on the back, but the Johns Park West clan were having nothing of it............even to a young six year old child. This and many incidents like this demonstrate to all, the type of individuals that live and continue to live on this road.

In the early hours of a weekends morning a young adult  is seen snibble down to his home on Saint Johns Park West Clondalkin. Ducking and diving from one garden to another, he makes his way from Greenpark shopping centre as Garda cars are heard screaming around in pursuit of stolen motor vehicles. This is seen by many rersidents on the road over a considerable period of time. And what about the lads of 15/16/17 years of age who gathered in the house of their buddy only to come out when residents have gone to bed in order to pour cans of alcohol over their neighbours motor vehicles or pour paint on residents driveways. This is the Johns Park West lads at their best, as their parents come out early in the morning to pop their heads over into neighbouring gardens  in order to examine the destruction, as they grin and sneer in the direction of their neighbours.

Funny, specifically selected  families on this road  had two or more cars belonging to members of the family either damaged or stolen on a regular basis, yet others could leave their cars on the road or leave their driveway gates wide open all night with not so much as a plant taken or destroyed.

2.30am Thursday 28th February 2008,  a resident family(centre of road) is awoken by the sound of youths in the front garden removing waste from a skip-bag. Three youths are seen removing the contents of the skip bag and throwing it all over the road. The road is in a complete mess as the same youth strew a much rubbish they can in and around the area of the residents home. The same youths make absolutely sure they do not get any of the rubbish close to the homes of their friends. When disturbed the same youths run into a house two doors away from their victims, laughing and sneering as they make their getaway.
Yet another incident of the many incidents that have occured over many years on this road.

And those who know absolutely nothing nor command a  first hand knowledge of the plight of those who suffered at the hands of a small number of thugs on Saint Johns Park West, can now be found on the internet defending the same people they see as doing no wrong. We hear it on radio programmes such as the Adrian Kennedy show on FM104 where thugs are vigorously defended by people, who at the best of times,  know nothing about the victims of the antisocial behaviour, yet those who defend these thugs continuously attempyt to discret the victims of these crimes  in every way possible. Once again it's the gang mentality, defend your mates at all cost, even if it is necessary to discredit the victims of such activities.

And they you also had a resident who  had cars owned by  family members either damaged or stolen. Or another resident who had her car window broken and the contents taken f rom the rear seat, yet the cars of the certain few could remain untouched on the roadside or in the driveway, well that was until a trend was noticed in the pattern of robberies that were taking place and that information placed on the internet. You see, the road constantly checks the many websites for information but refrain from posting comments or helpful information that may be of help to those troubled by these acts of antisocial behaviour. And then on the other hand, you had a resident who contrived a break-in of his home many years ago and more recently a break-in of his car in order to make himself appear to be yet another victim of crime. Make yourself a victim of crime  and you blend in with all those who  are victims of crime.
Ye once again 'Welcome to Saint johns Park West'.

Susan Boyle On Childhood Bullying: Adam Buckman  Oct 20th, 2010

With bullying and its tragic consequences making headlines, international singing sensation Susan Boyle has disclosed her own personal story. Boyle – the 49-year-old Scottish superstar who shocked the world when she unleashed a soaring rendition of I Dreamed a Dream on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2008 – talked with Oprah Winfrey Tuesday about the bullying she endured as a homely schoolgirl. Oprah raised the subject on her show because Boyle writes about the bullying in her new memoir, Susan Boyle: The Woman I was Born to Be. Boyle also has a new CD on the way, titled “The Gift.” She performed one of the songs – Crowded House’s Don’t Dream It’s Over – before sitting down for an interview with Oprah

“Let’s talk a bit about some of the things that you reveal [in the book],” Oprah probed gently. “You were bullied as a child . . . not only just bullied, but severely taunted. Do you remember some of the things people used to say to you or call you?” “Not just name-calling,” Boyle answered haltingly in her heavy Scottish accent, “you know, burning my clothes with a cigarette, stuff like that, and [trying] to trip me up.”“Burning your clothes with a cigarette,” Oprah said.“Which was really, I don’t know, it wasn’t really human,” Boyle said. “I was being hit around the head, stuff like that. . . . That is physical. The more hurtful is the psychological – the psychological is name-calling, really repeated name calling,” she said, unable to utter the names the bullies called her, though Oprah tried mightily to get her to do so.“What kinds of things would they call you, Susan?” Oprah asked.“They’re not very nice,” Boyle said quietly.Oprah asked how Boyle felt about being taunted and burned with cigarettes.“Made me feel as if nobody loved me,” Boyle said. “I didn’t really matter, I was just a target.” Oprah then gave Boyle some advice on how to get back at her childhood tormentors. “You know what you should do? You should send them your autographed CD with a note that says, ‘How ya like me now?’ ”  “Nice idea!” Boyle said, adding that today she feels more “like a princess, and I feel loved for the first time in my life.”

Susan could have lived on Saint Johns Park West, Clondalkin The torment that Susan Boyle endured was mirror-imaged for some residents at the hands of a small number of thugs. Friends of these thugs now insist that no such antisocial activities ever took place, nothing ever happened on the road. The lads to the centre of the road never caused any problems to other residents. This is all made up in order to .... that's interesting....do what? Why would anyone want to make such utterly bizarre claims....for what reason, its hard to explain. When residents were forced by their neighbours to sell their homes, they left behind the type of people who tormented decent people like Susan Boyle. Susan had the last laugh, she can stand up and proudly say, 'I made it, I beat you all, I left you all behind to stew in your own soup. They say the wheel of justice turns slowly, what goes around comes around.

A young adult who told his neighbour that the family were loosers and failures  can only cringe when he analyses his own personal achievements and that of his road buddies in camparison to those they tormented. Of course this young adult does not possess a type of mental intelligence that allows him come to this  type of conclusion, unless he was given information by others on his road. Adult holiday friends, seen on social networking websites, sometimes say just that little bit too much.
